The Fisher Paykel RDV2-488-N-N Dual Fuel Range is designed to be easy to clean. The oven has a self-cleaning function, which means it can clean itself using high heat to burn off any food residue. To activate the self-cleaning function, follow these steps:
1. Remove all racks and accessories from the oven.
2. Close the oven door.
3. Press the "Clean" button on the control panel.
4. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the desired cleaning time. The recommended cleaning time is usually 3 hours.
5. Press the "Start" button to begin the self-cleaning cycle.
During the self-cleaning cycle, the oven will heat up to a high temperature to burn off any food residue. It is normal for smoke and odor to be produced during this process, so ensure that your kitchen is well-ventilated.
After the self-cleaning cycle is complete, allow the oven to cool down before wiping away any remaining ash with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or scrubbers, as they may damage the oven's surface.
