The iCON Space Series Microphone is a condenser microphone and requires phantom power to operate. Most quality mixers, outboard MIC pre-amplifiers, and hard disk recorders provide phantom power. You can also use an external phantom power supply if necessary. The microphone receives the phantom power directly from a MIC cable when connected to a mixer or other microphone input that includes a phantom supply. Make sure to check that the phantom power is turned on in your mixer or recorder.
