To install the Roku CF1000R Floodlight Camera SE, follow these steps:
1. Download the Roku Smart Home app on your smartphone by scanning the QR code provided in the manual. Sign in with your Roku account or create one if you don't have an account.
2. Make sure you have a junction box installed. If you don't have one, contact a licensed electrician to install it according to local building codes. Remember to disconnect power to the junction box using the fuse or circuit breaker.
3. Gather the necessary tools: Phillips screwdriver, ladder, and your smartphone with the Roku Smart Home app.
4. Open the Roku Smart Home app and tap the "+" button, then select "Add Device." Look for "Floodlight Camera" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
5. Choose the desired mounting option: wall mount or ceiling mount. The camera has a field of view of 130°, and the motion area for triggering the lights is 270°.
6. Find a suitable location for the floodlight camera, preferably 10 feet above the ground. It should be able to detect motion up to 30 feet away.
7. Use the provided screws and mounting bracket to securely attach the floodlight camera to the chosen location. Refer to the manual for specific instructions on how to mount the camera.
