To install the HINKLEY 4300 Indoor Wall Sconce, follow these steps:
1. Find a clear area in which you can work and unpack the fixture and glass from the carton.
2. Carefully review the instructions prior to assembly.
3. Prepare the mounting strap (A) by threading the two 1 1/4” long mounting screws (B) into the back of the mounting strap (A). Make sure the holes into which the screws are threaded match the spacing of holes (D) in the backplate (E).
4. Attach the mounting strap (A) to the junction box (J) using two 1” screws (C) (not provided).
5. Make electrical connections from the supply wire to the fixture lead wires, following the wiring instructions provided in the manual (refer to instruction sheet I.S. 18).
6. Mount the fixture by slipping the two mounting screws (B) through the two mounting holes (D) in the backplate (E). While holding the fixture in place, thread the two ball knobs (F) onto the end of the mounting screws (B) and tighten.
7. To install the glass, remove the socket ring (3) from the socket (1). Slip the glass (2) over the socket (1) and then thread the socket ring (3) onto the socket (1) and tighten. Repeat this step for any remaining glass.
8. Finally, the fixture can be lamped accordingly.
