To attach the CORA CS1000 Long Range Door Sensor to a door or window, follow these steps:
1. Clean the installation area to ensure a smooth surface.
2. Remove the protective layer from the rear of the sensor and place it in the desired position on the fixed part of the door or window. Press firmly for at least 5 seconds.
3. Remove the protective layer from the rear of the magnet and align the magnet's semi-circle with the sensor's semi-circle. Press firmly for at least 5 seconds.
Note: It is important to test the sensor and magnet location before permanently attaching them to the surface. You can use masking or painter's tape to temporarily secure the sensor and magnet and test if it generates open and closed alarms.
Make sure that the installation gap between the sensor and magnet is within 0.4 inches and that the semi-circle on the magnet is aligned with the semi-circle on the sensor body when closed.
Avoid exposing the sensor to strong impacts or vibrations. Mount the sensor body on the fixed part (frame) of the door or window, while the magnet should be mounted on the movable part.
Take care to install the sensor away from other strong magnetic fields to prevent spurious alarms.
