To install the APsystems DS3 Series Microinverter, follow these steps:
1. Verify that the grid voltage matches the microinverter rating.
2. Distribute the Y3 AC Bus Cable, ensuring that each connector drop matches the position of the microinverter.
3. Attach the microinverters to the racking, marking their locations with respect to the PV module junction box or any obstructions.
4. Ground the system using the embedded PE wire in the Y3 AC Bus Cable. Additional grounding work may be required in areas with special grounding requirements.
5. Connect the microinverters to the AC Bus Cable by inserting the AC connector into the trunk cable connector. Ensure a robust connection by listening for a "click".
6. Install a Bus Cable End Cap at the end of the AC Bus Cable.
7. Connect the microinverters to the PV modules, ensuring that each PV panel is carefully connected to the same channel. Do not split positive and negative DC cables into two different input channels.
8. Connect the microinverters to the grid by installing bi-polar circuit breakers with the proper rated current or according to local regulations. Leakage current breakers or AFCI/GFCI breakers are not recommended.
9. Use an AC extension cable if necessary.
10. Complete the installation map by sticking the ID label of each microinverter in the right location. The second serial number label can be stuck on the solar module frame for future reference.
11. Turn on the AC circuit breakers on each microinverter AC branch circuit.
12. Turn on the main utility-grid AC circuit breaker. The system will start producing power after approximately one minute.
13. Monitor the microinverter data through the EMA Manager APP or the EMA web portal.
