To install the Uolfin 5069556 3-Light 11-Inch Matte Black and Seeded Glass Semi-flush Mount Light, please follow the steps below:
1. Before starting the installation, it is recommended to have a licensed electrician perform the installation. Make sure to read the instruction manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
2. Turn off the main power switch in your home's fuse box or circuit breaker. Also, turn off the wall switch for the light.
3. Ensure that the mounting surface is clean, dry, flat, and strong enough to support the light fixture. The surface should be 1/4" larger than the canopy on all sides. If there are any gaps exceeding 3/16", correct them as required.
4. Verify that the ceiling or wall can support the weight of the lamp before installation.
5. Confirm that the voltage you are using is 120V, and the maximum wattage per bulb is 40W.
6. Keep the lamp away from acidic and basic objects to avoid damaging the surface.
7. When replacing a bulb, make sure to turn off or unplug the lamp and wait until it is cool, as bulbs can get hot quickly.
8. It is important to note that the safety instructions provided in the manual may not cover all possible conditions. Always exercise common sense, caution, and care when working with electrical products.
9. The tools required for assembly and installation are not included with the product. Please refer to the provided picture in the manual to prepare the necessary tools.
10. The part list includes various components such as the round mounting plate, green ground xxxx , canopy, xxxx nut, arm, stem, fixture body, glass shade, nut, and plastic washers. Ensure that all parts are included before proceeding with the installation.
11. The assembly and installation instructions are as follows:
- Carefully remove the fixture from the packaging and verify that all parts and accessories are included.
- Turn off the power by switching off the main power switch in your home's fuse box or circuit breaker. Also, turn off the wall switch.
- Unscrew the xxxx nuts from the mounting plate.
- Unscrew the nut and plastic washers from the arms. Adjust the arms to the desired position.
- Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box using the provided mounting screws.
- Make wire connections according to the provided chart. Ensure that you do not connect wires to ground wires.
- Twist the plastic wire connector until the wires are tightly joined together. Carefully stuff all wires into the outlet box.
- Raise the canopy to the ceiling and secure it in place by tightening the knobs onto the threaded xxxx on the mounting plate.
- Install the bulb (not included) according to the recommended maximum capacity on the socket.
- Fix the glass shade to the arms using the plastic washers and nut.
- Double-check that everything is installed properly before turning on the light.
12. To clean the fixture, wipe it with a soft cloth. Clean the glass with mild soap. Avoid using abrasive materials such as scouring pads, powders, steel wool, or abrasive paper.
