To install the Eve Outdoor Cam Secure Floodlight Camera, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location: Install the camera in place of an existing outdoor light. An installation height of 2.5m/8ft and a tilt angle of 30° is ideal. Adjust the camera angle as needed.
2. Check Wi-Fi coverage: Ensure that there is sufficient Wi-Fi coverage at the desired location. The camera connects exclusively to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Use your iPhone to check the Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location.
3. Disconnect power: In your fuse box, switch off the fuse connected to your existing outdoor light. Confirm that there is no current flowing by switching the associated light switch on and off.
4. Install the Mounting Plate: Disassemble and remove your existing outdoor light. Position the mounting plate and create an opening for passing the power cable through. Trace the xxxx holes, remove the mounting plate, drill into the tracings, and insert the supplied wall anchors. Ensure that the mounting plate has a neutral wire and a connection to a ground wire.
5. Mount Eve Outdoor Cam: Place the mounting bracket on top of the mounting plate and secure them using the supplied screws. Attach the mounting cover, mounting ring, and metal bracket. Use the supplied mounting xxxx to attach the camera.
6. Connect Eve Outdoor Cam: Pass the cable through the cable inlet. Open the mounting ring for easy access to the cabling. Pass the cable through the wall mount and connect the corresponding wires from your power cable to the camera using the supplied connection terminals. Stow the terminals and cables in the wall mount and secure the mounting ring.
7. Set up Eve Outdoor Cam: Align the camera and secure it using the supplied allen xxxx . Switch on the fuse in your fuse box. Download the Eve app from the App Store and follow the setup process. Use the HomeKit code on the back of the manual to add Eve Outdoor Cam to your home.
8. Enjoy: You can now use Eve Outdoor Cam to record activity. It supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video, allowing you to securely store recordings in iCloud. Adjust the camera settings using the Eve app.
