To charge the Stryker System 9 Sterile Battery, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the battery pack is cool for at least one hour before charging.
2. Connect the battery charger to a hospital-grade, facility power receptacle using the provided power cord.
3. Load the clean, dry battery onto the charger. You can charge the battery either before or after sterilization.
- Before sterilization: Place the unwrapped battery directly onto the charger.
- After sterilization: Place the battery wrapped in sterilization wrap onto the charger. Ensure that the wrap is approved and labeled for use with the battery.
4. Make sure the battery pack is fully situated within the charger bay and in contact with the charger surface.
5. The battery status indicator for the occupied charger bay will flash green as the battery communicates with the charger.
6. After a few seconds, the battery status indicator will display the state of charge.
7. The charging sequence will begin, and the target state of charge bar on the battery status indicator will flash continuously.
8. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery status indicator will display three solid green bars.
Note: It is recommended to charge the battery between each use for maximum capacity. The charging time can vary depending on the battery size and charge level.
