To clean the DASH DDTM008 Express Dog Treat Maker, always allow the appliance to cool completely before moving, cleaning, or storing. Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquids. For everyday cleaning, unplug the Express Dog Treat Maker and wipe down the Cooking Surface and Cover with a damp, soapy cloth. Thoroughly rinse the cloth and wipe again. Make sure to dry the appliance thoroughly before storing. For tough stains or burnt food residue, pour a little cooking oil onto the Cooking Surface and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Scrub the surface with a sponge or soft-bristled brush to dislodge the food. Use a damp, soapy cloth to wipe down the Cooking Surface and rinse it thoroughly. If any food remains, pour on cooking oil and let it sit for a few hours, then scrub and wipe clean. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents as they may damage the nonstick Cooking Surface.
