To install the SILVERSTONE SST-EX850R-PM Extreme 850R Platinum Extreme Series Cybenetics Platinum 850W Fully Modular Power Supply, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your computer is powered off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Open your computer case to access the internal components.
3. Locate the existing power supply unit (PSU) in your computer case.
4. Disconnect all cables connected to the existing PSU, including the main 24-pin motherboard connector, CPU power connector, and peripheral connectors.
5. Remove the existing PSU from the case by unscrewing the mounting screws.
6. Take the SILVERSTONE SST-EX850R-PM power supply and align it with the PSU mounting holes in your computer case.
7. Secure the power supply in place by screwing in the mounting screws.
8. Connect the necessary cables from the power supply to the corresponding components in your computer. This includes the 24-pin motherboard connector, CPU power connector, and peripheral connectors for devices such as hard drives and optical drives.
9. Ensure that all connections are secure and properly seated.
10. Close your computer case.
11. Plug in the power cord to the power supply and to a power outlet.
12. Turn on your computer and check if the power supply is functioning properly.
