To install the Gorenje GH10A-S, GH10A-C Series Cooker Hood, follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, ensure that all components are undamaged. If any components are damaged, contact your dealer and do not proceed with the installation.
2. Make sure to read the installation instructions carefully to ensure proper installation, use, and safety.
3. Do not make any electrical or mechanical modifications to the product or the discharge conduits.
4. For the exhaust version, connect a special pipe to the connection ring located on top of the hood to convey the fumes outside of the building. The exhausting pipe is not supplied and must be purchased separately. The diameter of the exhausting pipe must be equal to that of the connection ring. The pipe should be slightly slanted (about 10°) in horizontal runs and directed upwards to vent the air easily from the room to the outside.
5. For the filter version, one active charcoal filter is needed to remove grease and smells from the extracted air before sending it back into the room through the upper outlet grid. The filter can be obtained from your usual retailer.
6. The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking equipment on the hob and the lowest part of the range hood must be not less than 50cm from electric cookers and 65cm from gas or mixed cookers. If the installation instructions for the gas hob specify a greater distance, adhere to those instructions.
7. Ensure that the mains power supply corresponds to the rating indicated on the plate inside the hood. If the hood is provided with a plug, connect it to a socket in compliance with current regulations. If it is not fitted with a plug or the plug is not located in an accessible area, apply a double pole switch in accordance with standards to ensure complete disconnection of the mains.
8. The hood should be mounted by at least two persons due to its weight. Follow the specific mounting instructions provided in the manual.
9. After installation, check that the mains cable is correctly assembled before reconnecting the hood circuit to the mains supply.
10. Regularly clean the hood internally and externally using a cloth dampened with neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products or alcohol.
11. Clean the grease metal filter once a month using non-aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher. Replace the grease paper (synthetic) filter at least every two months or when the color becomes visible through the holes of the grille. Replace the charcoal filter (for filter version) at least every four months.
12. When replacing lamps, use E14 LED 4Wx1 lamps only.
Please refer to the complete installation instructions provided in the manual for more detailed information and illustrations.
