To install the TRANE CO2 Sensing Kit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that an economizer is installed and functional before attempting to install the CO2 sensing kit.
2. Unpack all components of the kit and check for any shipping damage. If any damage is found, report it immediately and file a claim against the transportation company.
3. Visually inspect the components for shipping damage as soon as possible after delivery, before storing them. If there is concealed damage, it must be reported within 15 days. Take photos of the damage, if possible, and do not remove damaged material from the receiving location.
4. Notify the carrier's terminal of the damage immediately by phone and by mail, and request an immediate joint inspection of the damage by the carrier and the consignee.
5. Do not attempt to repair any damaged parts until they are inspected by the carrier's representative.
6. Apply the provided CO2 and ventilation override wiring diagram label next to the main unit wiring diagram label, located on the compressor access panel.
7. Apply the "CO2 kit Has Been Installed" label next to the main unit wiring diagram label.
8. Install the CO2 sensor in the conditioned space or return air duct according to the instructions packed with the sensor.
9. Make field wiring connections to Symbio 700 UC J22 pins 1-3. Refer to the main unit schematic sheet 3 and the installation guide.
10. Route the low voltage external field wiring along with and secure it to the existing low voltage zone sensor or thermostat wiring.
11. Replace any access panels that were removed for kit installation.
