To install the MAXIM 61012 Tulum LED Outdoor Fandelight, please follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Safety Precautions: Before starting the installation, make sure the power is off. Also, ensure that the fan is supported directly from the building structure and not from a solid-state speed control device.
2. Parts & Accessories: Make sure you have the Transmitter Kit and Assembly Kit included with the fan.
3. Installation Instructions: Follow these steps for installation:
- Step 1: Remove the Clevis Pin, Nut, Spring Washers, Flat Washers, and Bolt on the Coupling. Loosen the xxxx from the Hanger Ball and remove the Hanger Ball and Lock Pin. Route the wires and safety wire from the motor through the Downrod. Install the Downrod to the Coupling and secure it. Tighten the Set Screws on the Coupling. Route the Coupling cover, Canopy Ring, Canopy, and Hanger Ball through the Downrod and install the Lock pin. Remove the stoppers on the top of the fan motor.
- Step 2A: For concrete ceiling installation, use the Mounting Bracket as a guide to mark the spots for drilling holes. Drill the holes and insert Expansion Bolts into the concrete ceiling. Install the mounting bracket and secure it with Flat Washers, Spring Washers, and Nuts.
- Step 2B: For wooden ceiling installation, use the Mounting Bracket as a guide to mark the spots for drilling holes. Drill the holes and install the mounting bracket onto the wooden ceiling with Self Tapping Screws and Washers.
- Step 3: Raise the fan and place the hanger ball onto the mounting bracket. Rotate the fan until the notch on the hanger ball snaps into the slot on the mounting bracket. Tighten the safety wire clamp and fix the safety wire to the building structure. Connect the wire connector plugs correctly.
- Step 4: Connect the wires from the controller to the power supply using wire connectors. Insert the controller and LED Driver into the space of the mounting bracket and tidy up the wiring.
- Step 5: Push the canopy to the bottom of the mounting bracket and align the sliding holes with the prominent screws on the mounting bracket. Turn clockwise until tight. Push the canopy ring to the bottom of the canopy, where it will magnetically attach.
