To set up the ASUS GT-AXE16000 Wifi 6E Gaming Router, follow these steps:
1. Prepare your Modem:
- Unplug the power of your cable/DSL modem.
- If you are using DSL for internet, you will need your username/password from your Internet service provider (ISP) to configure your router.
- Connect your modem to the WAN port at the back of the router using the provided network cable.
- Power on the modem by plugging it into a power outlet.
2. Install your Router:
- Plug the adapter into the DCIN port of the router and press the Power switch.
- The power LED will light up when the hardware is ready.
- You can use the ASUS Router app on your iOS or Android mobile device to set up the router. Download the app from the app store.
- Connect to the default network SSID shown on the product label on the back of the router or scan the QR code on the label to connect.
- Launch the ASUS Router app and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
Alternatively, you can set up the router via a web browser:
- Connect your PC to a LAN port at the back of the router using an additional network cable.
- Open a web browser and you will be redirected to the ASUS Setup Wizard. If not, navigate to http://router.asus.com.
- Follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard to complete the setup.
3. Set up 10GE WAN connection:
- If you want to use the 10GE WAN connection, connect your modem to the 10GE port on the router using a network cable.
- In the ASUS Setup Wizard, select "Manual Setting" and then select "10G Ethernet". Follow the instructions to complete the setup of SSID and login information.
4. Start using the router:
- After completing the setup steps, the router will reboot and start connecting to the internet with the 10GE port.
