To change the password on the ZIP Xtra Next Gen DVR, follow these steps:
1. Login to the DVR using the default admin password, which is 555555.
2. Once logged in, go to the settings menu by pressing the Menu/Escape button on the remote control or by using the mouse.
3. Navigate to the User Management or Account settings section.
4. Look for the option to change the password and select it.
5. Enter your desired new password into the New Admin Password field.
6. Re-enter the new password into the Confirm Password field.
7. The Password Strength bar will indicate the strength of your password. Aim for a strong password using at least 8 characters and a combination of letters and numbers.
8. Once you have entered and confirmed the new password, save the changes and exit the settings menu.
Note: It is important to choose a strong password to ensure the security of your DVR. Avoid using simple codes like 12345, as they can be easily accessed by malware.
