To connect the Switching Power Supply for the Digital Booster DB-4 to your model railway, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your model railway is switched off by disconnecting the transformers and switching Power Supply from AC-current.
2. Connect the mains supply cable (provided with the DB-4 Power Supply) to a suitable power outlet. The Power Supply is compatible with mains voltage ranging from 110 to 240 VAC and a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz.
3. Connect the small device plug (Euro- and small-device plug) of the mains supply cable to the appropriate small device socket on the DB-4 Power Supply.
4. The DB-4 Power Supply comes with several output plugs. Select the plug with dimensions 5.5X2.1mm. This plug has an outside diameter of 5.5mm and a bore diameter of 2.1mm. The negative pole is on the outside, and the positive pole is on the inside.
5. Connect the output plug 5.5X2.1 to the socket of the output cable.
6. Connect the output plug to the socket BU1 of the Digital Booster DB-4. Refer to the illustration in the user guide for the correct connection.
Once the connections are made, you can adjust the digital voltage by using the voltage selection switch on the output cable. Use the attached key or a suitable screwdriver to set the voltage between 15 and 24 Volt, which corresponds to the digital voltage that the Digital Booster DB-4 will supply to the rail.
