To clean the ceramic glass surface of the KitchenAid KCIG556JBL induction cooktop, follow these steps:
1. Make sure all controls are off and the cooktop is cool.
2. Use a soft cloth or sponge and soap and water to clean the surface. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
3. For stubborn stains or residue, use the Cooktop Scraper provided with the cooktop. Hold the scraper at a 45-degree angle against the glass surface and apply pressure to remove the residue.
4. If there are burnt-on stains, apply a few drops of affresh Cooktop Cleaner to the affected areas. Rub the cleaner onto the surface with the blue Cooktop Cleaning Pad. Allow the cleaner to dry to a white haze before polishing with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
5. Repeat these steps as necessary for stubborn or burned-on stains.
Note: Avoid using steel wool, abrasive powder cleansers, chlorine bleach, rust remover, or ammonia on the cooktop, as they can damage the surface.
