To install the Trane BAYLOAM301 Foundation Packaged Rooftop Units, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that only qualified personnel perform the installation and service of the equipment. Improper installation or servicing by unqualified individuals can result in serious injury or death.
2. Before starting the installation, read the entire instruction manual thoroughly and follow all safety advisories, warnings, cautions, and notices provided.
3. Inspect the contents of the kit for any possible damage. If any damage is found, report it immediately and file a claim against the transportation company. If any parts are missing, contact your supplier for replacements.
4. Familiarize yourself with the electrical, temperature, and pressure ratings of the unit. Ensure that the electrical power supply meets the specified requirements.
5. Prepare the unit for installation by disconnecting all power from the unit and removing the compressor and control box access panel(s).
6. Determine the mounting location and position of the controller inside the control box. Refer to the provided figures in the manual for guidance.
7. Mount the controller in the appropriate position using the provided screws. If the airflow sleeve is not installed, install it with the gasket using two screws. If the airflow sleeve is already installed, proceed to the next step.
8. Install the temperature sensor in the airflow sleeve with the provided grommet.
9. Install the transducer onto the tee port of the high-pressure service port on the discharge lines of each compressor. Ensure that the transducer and tee do not come into contact with the access panel. Tighten the flare nut securely and check for leaks.
10. If you have the BAYLOAM302** kit, follow the specific instructions provided in the manual for changing the outdoor motor.
11. Assemble the fan on the motor shaft, ensuring a 3-inch distance from the top cover to the top of the fan hub. Tighten the fan hub to shaft set xxxx to the specified torque.
12. Connect the power harness female connector to the terminal plug on the motor.
13. Once the installation is complete, verify that all power to the unit has been disconnected and locked out. Perform a thorough inspection to ensure correct operation through the desired pressure range.
