To install the ASSA ABLOY Induro Mortice Lock Apex Mini-Lever Set on an aluminium or timber hinged door, follow these steps:
1. Tools Required: You will need a drill, 2.9mm drill bit, 3.2mm drill bit, 20.0mm drill bit, and a square screwdriver #1.
2. Door Preparation: Route the door as shown in the routing diagram.
3. Fixing Lock: Place the lock assembly into the stile and fix it onto the stile using the two 8g x 7.5mm screws.
4. Fixing Furniture and Cylinder: Insert the drive bar (spindle) through the square drive hole in the lock. Place the mini-lever furniture onto the drive bar and fix the internal rose to the stile using four 6g x 16mm screws. Repeat this step on the external side of the stile. Place the cylinder through the cylinder hole and fix it using the M5 cylinder fixing xxxx . Place the euro escutcheon rose over the cylinder and fix it to the stile using four 6g x 16mm screws. Repeat this step for the external rose. Finally, place covers over the mini-lever and cylinder rose.
5. Assembly of Shootbolt Rod Ends: Trim the lock rods to length, considering the throw of 20mm, length of 'D' tip, thread engagement into lock racks, and plastic or stainless steel rod ends. For plastic rod ends, insert the steel pin into the plastic 'D' tip and insert the combined part into the top of the shootbolt rod. Crimp the shootbolt rod to ensure the two parts cannot be easily separated. Repeat these steps for the bottom shootbolt rod. For stainless steel rod ends, insert the supplied stainless steel 'D' tips into the top of the shootbolt rod. Repeat these steps for the bottom shootbolt rod. Insert the rods from the top and bottom of the stile and xxxx them into the lock.
6. Latch Reversal: Undo the M4 latch xxxx and reverse the latch as desired. Replace the M4 latch xxxx to secure the latch. Insert the latch wear pad.
7. Lock Operation: To deadlock the door, pull the door shut, lift the handle to throw the deadbolt and shoot bolt, and turn the key towards the edge of the door. The door is now secure from the exterior and interior. To retract the shootbolts and deadbolt, ensure the door is unlocked, push the handle down, and release. To open the door, turn the key away from the door edge to deactivate the deadlock. If the deadbolt and shootbolts are engaged, push the handle down and release. Retract the latch.
