To convert your BRAND-MAN Grill from propane to natural gas, please follow the instructions provided in the owner's manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the conversion kit is suitable for your specific grill model (BG2211A3/BG2211B3/BG2211A4/BG2211A6).
2. Before starting the conversion, perform a precautionary leak test in a well-ventilated area. Confirm that all control knobs are in the 'Off' position, open the gas control valve on the gas cylinder or regulator, and use a solution of soapy water to check for gas leaks. If any leaks are detected, immediately turn off the gas cylinder valve, check and retighten all gas connections, and repeat the leak test. If the leak persists, do not use the grill and contact the customer service center for assistance.
3. Begin the conversion process by opening the BBQ hood and removing the warming rack, hotplate, grill plates, and flame tamer. Set them aside.
4. Remove the R-pin at the end of the burner and carefully remove all the burners. Keep them aside.
5. Unscrew the propane injectors in an anti-clockwise direction. The injectors are two-step units. Remove the propane injector, and the natural gas (NG) injector should already be in place and ready for use. Take care not to overpressure or damage the valve during the unscrewing and screwing process. Use a 6mm nut driver to operate.
6. Insert all the burners back into their positions and secure them with the R-pin.
7. With the hood open, reinstall the flame tamer, grill plates, hotplate, and warming rack.
8. If your grill has a side burner, remove the two screws underneath it and remove the trivet and side burner. Replace the LPG injector with the NG injector carefully, ensuring not to apply excessive force that could break the valve. Reinstall the side burner, secure it with the screws, and put back the trivet. Note that this step does not apply to the BG2211A3 model.
9. Remove the propane hose and regulator from the manifold. Connect the natural gas hose to the connector at the end of the manifold and then connect it to the natural gas supply connector at your property. After the NG hose changeover, run a leak test with soapy water to ensure there are no gas leaks.
10. Stick the provided Natural Gas Warning Label behind the cart door.
11. If applicable, connect the NG quick connect to the NG supply.
Please note that it is crucial to follow the manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes and requirements during the conversion process. If you have any doubts or encounter any issues, it is recommended to seek assistance from a qualified service agency.
