To properly trim the G3 Escapist Universal Climbing Skins to fit your skis, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the tail strap and remove the release liner.
2. Determine the length of the skin by positioning the ESCAPIST tip and extending the skin plush centered along the length of the ski.
3. Mark the "fold line" on the skin where it overlays the tip assembly bulge. Do not trim excess skin material yet.
4. Remove the skin tip marking template and the perforated skin marking template from the bottom of the box.
5. Trace and mark the trim shape on the skin, aligning the center of the skin tip marking template with the fold line.
6. Using a utility knife or sharp pair of scissors, trim the top line of the skin to remove excess length.
7. Fold the skin over itself at the fold line and attach glue to the glue.
8. Cut along the trim lines through both layers of the folded skin.
9. Prepare the ESCAPIST tip by pressing the red tab on the back to release it and pulling the red skewer apart from the white tip assembly.
10. Insert the folded skin into an ESCAPIST tip about 3/4 of the way, then insert the skewer into the skin about 1/2 way.
11. Complete the insertion until the skewer clicks into place. Double-check that the tab on the skewer is fully engaged in the tip body.
12. Readjust the skin tail to confirm sizing.
13. Attach and center the skin for sidecut trimming.
14. Align the G3 trim tool with the ski edge, ensuring that the tabs on the trim tool sit between the ski base and the skin fabric.
15. Trim from tip to tail along the ski edge, repeating on both sides. The trimmed skins should reveal both edges.
