To connect the Omni-ID E1000 Cassia BLE Gateway to the internet, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the Cassia E1000-BLE Gateway to the network switch using an Ethernet patch cable.
2. Ensure that the Cassia Bluetooth router is powered on and running firmware version 1.2 or above.
3. The Cassia Bluetooth router comes with a WiFi hotspot function. Look for the SSID "cassia-xxxxxx" in the wireless network list on your device. The "xxxxxx" corresponds to the last 6 digits of the router's MAC address.
4. Select the SSID "cassia-xxxxxx" and enter the default password, which is the same as the SSID. For example, if the Cassia Bluetooth router MAC address is "CC:1B:E0:E0:96:DC", the SSID and default password will be "cassia-E096DC".
5. Once connected to the Cassia Bluetooth router, open a web browser and enter the default IP address "192.168.40.1" in the URL field.
6. You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is also "admin".
7. After logging in, you can access the Cassia Gateway's settings and change the network settings according to your LAN configuration.
8. Under the "Basics" tab, enter the following service details:
- Host: omnisphere.omni-id.com
- Port: 1883
- Connection Type: Long
- Username: Omni-ID will provide
- Password: Omni-ID will provide
- Topic of scan: Omni-ID will provide
- MQTT Encryption: None
9. Save the settings and connect the Cassia Gateway to your local router or gateway via Ethernet.
