To properly install the GREE 3VIR09HP230V1BO Single Zone Mini-Split Heat Pump, follow these steps:
1. Fix the support of the outdoor unit: Select a suitable location for the outdoor unit and fix the support using expansion screws. Make sure the support can withstand the weight of the unit.
2. Install the drain joint (if applicable): Connect the outdoor drain joint to the hole on the chassis and connect the drain hose to the drain vent.
3. Fix the outdoor unit: Place the outdoor unit on the support and fix the foot holes with bolts.
4. Connect the indoor and outdoor pipes: Remove the xxxx on the right handle of the outdoor unit and remove the handle. Remove the xxxx cap of the valve and connect the pipe joint to the bellmouth of the pipe. Tighten the union nut with a torque wrench according to the specifications provided in the manual.
5. Connect the outdoor electric wire: Connect the power connection wire and signal control wire to the wiring terminal on the outdoor unit. Fix them with screws and secure them with a wire clip.
6. Neatly arrange the pipes: Place the pipes along the wall, bend them reasonably, and hide them if possible. Ensure that the drain hose is slanted downwards and the water outlet is not placed in water.
7. Perform a vacuum pump test: Connect the charging hose of gauges to the refrigerant charging vent of the outdoor unit and connect the other charging hose to the vacuum pump. Open the gauges and operate the vacuum pump for 10-15 minutes to check for any pressure decrease. Close the vacuum pump, maintain the pressure for 1-2 minutes, and check for any pressure decrease again. Remove the gauges and tighten the valve caps and refrigerant charging vent.
8. Perform a leak detection test: Use a leak detector or soapy water to check for any leaks in the installation.
9. Check the installation: Verify that the unit has been installed firmly, the refrigerant leak test has been performed, heat insulation of the pipeline is sufficient, water is draining well, the power supply voltage is correct, electric wiring and pipeline are installed correctly, and there are no obstructions in the air inlet and outlet.
10. Perform a test operation: Put through the power and use the remote controller to start the operation. Test different modes (AUTO, COOL, DRY, FAN, HEAT) to ensure proper functioning.
