According to the user manual, it is recommended to clean the filter once a month or as soon as there is a significant flow decrease indicating that the filter needs cleaning. To clean the filter, turn off the filter by unplugging it from the power socket and close the shut-off valve. Then, remove the filter and take it to a kitchen or washing area for cleaning. Open the filter and clean the foam sponges, replacing them every 2-3 months. Rinse the filter media only when needed, as cleaning will destroy the bacteria life. Activated carbon should be replaced every 1-3 months depending on the level of pollution. Inspect the rotor and clean it if necessary. When cleaning the filter, also inspect and clean the rubber seal ring, and use a silicone-based lubricant on the rubber seal ring before re-installation.
