To set the overload and underload settings on the Franklin Electric SSP3R SmartStart Pump Starter, follow these steps:
1. Overload Setting:
- Locate the overload dial on the starter.
- Set the overload dial to the SFA (Service Factor Amperage) value found on the motor nameplate. If no SFA value is provided, set it to the FLA (Full Load Amperage) listed on the motor nameplate.
2. Underload Setting:
- For submersible motor applications, set the underload dial to 70%.
- For surface motor applications, set the underload dial to 20%.
