To assemble the KOBALT PH18597 Brushless String Trimmer, follow these steps:
1. Unfold the shaft: Put the trimmer on the ground and carefully unfold the shaft. Use the hex wrench provided to lock the shaft with the two bolts.
2. Mount the guard: Lift the trimmer head and align the groove on the bottom of the guard with the raised portion on the base of the trimmer head. Slide the guard onto the base and tighten the two screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Mount the front-assist handle: Insert the adjusting lever into the front-assist handle and tighten the xxxx xxxx . Make sure the handle faces upwards and points towards the top of the handle. Lower the adjusting lever to secure the handle onto the shaft.
4. Attach the battery pack: Align the raised portion on the battery pack with the grooves on the bottom of the tool. Slide the battery pack onto the tool and ensure that the battery-release buttons snap into place.
