Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the Hunter 51289 52 Inch Tailwind with LED light Ceiling Fan:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power by switching off the circuit breakers to the outlet box and associated wall switch location.
2. Choose the right installation location for your fan. If you have a flat ceiling, use a standard downrod. If you have an angled or vaulted ceiling, you will need a longer downrod (sold separately) and an Angled Mounting Kit if the ceiling angle is greater than 34°.
3. Install the ceiling bracket. You have two options: Option 1 - Use machine screws (provided with outlet box) and washers when securing to an existing ceiling fan-rated outlet box. Option 2 - Use wood screws and washers (included) when securing to a support structure with an approved electrical outlet box.
4. Install the downrod. If using the pre-assembled downrod, remove the pre-installed setscrew, pass all wires to one side of the horizontal bar in the downrod assembly, hand tighten the downrod, and trim the wires coming from the fan. Then, tighten the setscrew with pliers.
5. Hang the fan by lifting it and attaching it to the ceiling bracket. Make sure to lift the fan by holding either the fan housing or the downrod to prevent damage.
6. Wire the fan. Follow the wiring diagram in the manual and connect the wires using wire nuts. Make sure to ground the fan and follow all national and local electrical codes.
7. Install the canopy by sliding it up and locking it into place.
8. Install the blades by attaching them to the blade iron posts.
9. Assemble the light kit by connecting the 9-pin plug connector from the motor housing to the plug connector in the switch housing area of the light kit assembly. Align the keyhole slots in the top of the light kit assembly with the partially installed screws and twist counterclockwise. Insert the saved assembly xxxx and tighten all three screws. Install the switch housing plate using two short light kit assembly screws.
10. Install the bulbs and glass by following the instructions provided in the manual.
11. Install the pull chains by attaching them to the fan housing.
12. Finally, test the fan to ensure it is working properly.
