The DROP City Water Softener provides notifications when it's time to add salt. You can also manually check the salt level by lifting the lid of the brine tank and checking the level of salt. If you can see water, it is time to add salt. It is recommended to add salt whenever there is enough room to accommodate additional blocks or pellets.7
