To properly pile the sauna stones in the Harvia PI70 Electric Sauna Heater, follow these steps:
1. Remove the top part of the steel frame.
2. Wash off any dust from the stones before piling them into the heater.
3. Place the stones inside the bottom part of the steel frame. Make sure the stones are tightly arranged and support each other.
4. Attach the top part of the steel frame.
5. Place more stones inside the top part of the frame, but do not form a high pile on top.
6. Ensure that the heating elements are completely covered by the stones. A bare heating element can be a fire hazard.
7. Check that no heating elements can be seen behind the stones.
8. Use angular split-face sauna stones that are intended for use in a heater. Avoid using light, porous ceramic stones or soft soapstones as they may not absorb enough heat and can damage the heating elements.
9. It is recommended to rearrange the stones at least once a year or more often if the sauna is frequently used. Remove any disintegrated stones and replace them with new ones.
