Piling the sauna stones in the Harvia HL70S Electric Sauna Heater is important for its proper functioning. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Use sauna stones that are 10-15 cm in diameter and specifically intended for use in a sauna heater. Suitable stone types include angular split-face sauna stones like peridotite, olivine-dolerite, and olivine.
2. Do not use light, porous ceramic "stones" or soft soapstones in the heater, as they do not absorb enough heat and can damage the heating elements.
3. Before piling the stones, wash off any dust from them.
4. Place the stones sparsely in the heater, allowing air to circulate between them. Do not form a high pile of stones on top of the heater.
5. Do not drop the stones into the heater. Place them gently to avoid any damage.
