Before installing Aspect glass tiles, it is important to properly prepare the wall. The wall should be clean, dry, and free of dust, wax, soap scum, and grease. Acceptable substrates include drywall, plasterboard, and smooth ceramic or porcelain-type tiles that are not porous or textured. Any damage, bumps, or uneven areas on the wall should be repaired, patched, leveled, and primed. Cracks and irregularities can be filled with wallboard compound or spackling, and then sanded smooth with fine-grit sandpaper. To prevent the color of the wall from showing through the seams of the Aspect installation, it is recommended to apply one coat of paint in the finish of your choice before installing the tiles.
