To install the , follow these steps:
1. Remove the complete assembly from the carton and loosen the screws holding the grille. Remove the grille.
2. Loosen the power unit mounting screws and remove the power unit from the rough-in housing.
3. Remove the tape from the back draft damper and ensure that the damper opens and closes freely.
4. Mount the rough-in housing to the ceiling joists at the desired location, using the hanger bar on the mounting bracket opposite the discharge opening.
5. Install the mounting brackets into the slots in the housing and adjust the housing so that the flange will be flush with the proposed finished ceiling line. Tighten the screws securely.
6. Attach a 4" round duct and vent it to the outside through a wall or ceiling.
7. Remove the junction box cover and desired knockout from the junction box in the housing.
8. Run five (5) wires and ground of 12 gauge from the heater's junction box to the wall switch. The switch should be installed in a double-gang outlet box. If using a thermostat or timer, connect it at the point marked "T".
9. Replace the junction box cover in the heater housing when the wiring is complete.
10. Insert the hooked hinge on the power unit to the hanger bracket in the rough-in housing.
11. Swing the fan and heater unit into place over the mounting bracket screws and tighten them securely.
12. Plug in the fan and heater assembly to the receptacle in the junction box cover.
13. Install a 100-watt bulb and a 7-watt lamp for the night light.
14. Mount the grille and lens assembly over the mounting screws in the housing and tighten them securely.
