To install the DKS Doorking 1601-800 Octagonal Lighted Signal Arm, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the correct barrier gate operator or auto-spikes barrier operator. This kit is designed specifically for use with the 1601 barrier gate operator or 1603 auto-spikes barrier operator.
2. Note that this kit cannot be used with a LED/Reverse Edge. It only works with a 1-Piece 14 ft octagon arm with a STANDARD arm bracket, not a Break-Away bracket.
3. If you wish to extend the 14 ft arm by an additional two feet, you can use the optional 2-ft extension. However, it is important to install the extension along with the counterweight to balance the extra weight.
4. Start the installation by installing the end cap. Push a screwdriver through the hole in the cap to release the spring while pushing the cap on. Keep pushing the cap on until you hear a "CLICK", indicating that it has locked in place.
