To use the Laserliner 082161 BBQ-GasCheck to measure the gas level in your LPG cylinder, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the surface of the gas cylinder and the measuring head of the device are clean and free from dirt, stickers, rust, and damage.
2. Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the device and insert a 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity.
3. The device does not have a separate ON/OFF switch and is always active once the batteries are inserted.
4. Place the measuring head vertically on the surface of the cylinder and press down with approximately 5 kg of pressure.
5. A blue LED light sequence will indicate that the measurement is in progress. Hold the scanner steady and pressed against the cylinder.
6. Once the measurement is complete, a red LED will indicate that no gas was found at the current position, or a green LED will indicate that gas was found.
7. The device will automatically switch off if left idle for 2 seconds.
Note: The exact gas level is indicated between the "Gas" and "No Gas" signals. The measurement should be carried out at several points in the cleaned central area of the gas cylinder to avoid possible influencing factors such as rust, uneven coating, ice build-up, or dented surfaces. The gas cylinder should be as upright as possible during the measurement to avoid sloping liquid levels. Measurement is not possible on welded seams.
