To use the Laserliner 075300 CenterScanner Plus, follow these steps:
1. Insert batteries: Open the battery compartment on both the transmitter (TX) and receiver (RECV) and insert the batteries according to the polarity symbols.
2. Determine drilling position: Securely position the transmitter (TX) at the required drilling point on the wall or ceiling using special adhesive. Switch on the TX and the RECV. Move the RECV to the other side of the wall/ceiling. The positioning LEDs on the RECV will show the direction of movement with red arrows, and green squares will indicate alignment between the TX and RECV. When all four green squares light up, the positioning is correct. Mark the drilling point and then remove the devices from the wall/ceiling before drilling.
3. Determine drilling depth: The positioning LEDs on the RECV are suitable for determining drilling depths up to 150 cm. For depths greater than 150 cm, use the LC display on the RECV. Move the RECV over the wall on the X and Y axis and mark the positions when reaching the minimum drilling depth shown on the display from all four directions (right, left, top, bottom to imaginary center point). The four markers form a coordinate cross (X/Y-axis) with the center point corresponding to the required drilling position.
4. Metal detection: Switch on the device and slowly move it over the surface. The LED indicators will show if there is metal close by. Mark the spot when all indicators are on. Repeat this step to confirm the presence of metal.
5. Voltage detection: Switch on the device and slowly move it over the surface. The LED indicators will show if there is a live cable close by. Use this feature to locate live wires directly beneath the plaster or behind wooden panels.
6. Offset measurement: Move the TX in an area without metal and measure the distance from the TX to the required drilling point. Determine the position of the TX with the RECV on the other side. Transfer the measured distance in the direction of the required drilling point.
7. Multipoint measurement: Mark at least two, preferably four, reference points at the same distance from the intended drilling point. The corrected drilling point is located at the geometric center point of the reference points.
