To clean the DASH DWSM200 Waffle Stick Maker, follow these steps:
1. Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Unplug the Waffle Stick Maker and wipe down the Cooking Surface and Cover with a damp, soapy cloth.
3. Thoroughly rinse the cloth and wipe again to remove any soap residue.
4. Dry the Waffle Stick Maker before storing.
5. If there is food burned onto the Cooking Surface, pour a little cooking oil on it and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Scrub the Cooking Surface with a sponge or soft-bristled brush to dislodge the food.
7. Use a damp, soapy cloth to wipe down the Cooking Surface again.
8. Rinse the cloth and wipe again.
9. If any food remains, pour on cooking oil and let it sit for a few hours, then scrub and wipe clean.
10. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as they may damage the nonstick Cooking Surface.
