To clean the rice cooker after use, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the rice cooker and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
2. Remove the cooking pot, steam attachment, and utensils (measuring cup, soup ladle, and serving spatula) from the rice cooker.
3. Rinse the cooking pot, steam attachment, and utensils in warm water with a mild dishwashing detergent.
4. If desired, you can also place the cooking pot, steam attachment, and utensils on the top rack of a dishwasher for cleaning.
5. Clean the housing of the rice cooker by wiping it with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
6. For the pot lid, press the bracket in the middle and remove it from the lid. Clean the pot lid with a mild detergent if needed. Insert the pot lid back into the lid and press it firmly until it locks.
7. The steam valve should be cleaned frequently to ensure smooth venting. Gently pull the steam valve out of the lid, push the locking and open the steam valve cover, rinse it under fresh water, and dry it before reattaching it.
8. Once all the parts are clean and dry, reassemble the rice cooker for future use.
