To install the DODGE DPFSV1 OPTIFY Performance Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Install the OPTIFY application on your smartphone.
2. Create an OPTIFY account using the desktop or mobile application, and then create or join a plant on dodgeoptify.com.
3. Log in to the OPTIFY application with your account and select "Assets." Add a new asset and fill in the asset details.
4. Clean the surface where you will mount the sensor.
5. Find a grease fitting, oil plug, or any other threaded hole that can accept the sensor or sensor adapter.
6. Optional: If mounting on a bearing, locate a grease fitting on the 30° face of the bearing and remove the plug. If mounting on a gear reducer, remove the red push-in plug from the OPTIFY Performance Sensor adapter.
7. Thread the sensor by hand and tighten it using the installation tool. Optionally, you can use a torque wrench to tighten the sensor to 7-12 lbs-in (0.8-1.4Nm).
8. Press the silicone button on the sensor to begin activation. The LED light will blink three times.
9. On the asset page in the OPTIFY application, select your new asset and choose "Commission new sensor." Follow the prompts and provide the required information.
10. After completing the installation process, the application should function properly. If you encounter any problems, contact support at sensortechsupport@dodgeindustrial.com.
Please note that the maximum temperature of the mounting surface should not exceed +120°C, and the ambient temperature range of the sensor is -40°C to 105°C. Ensure the sensor is used within these limits. Additionally, take precautions to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge and connect the metallic base of the sensor to earthed metal when installed.
