To connect the Novostella NTF36 Smart LED Flood Light to the Smart Life app, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Install the Smart Life app on your smartphone. You can either scan the QR code provided in the user guide or search for "Smart Life" in the Apple Store or Google Play.
Step 2: Create an account on the Smart Life app and log in. Remember to keep your account and password in mind for later steps.
Step 3: Add the light to the Smart Life app. Tap the "+" button on the top right corner of the app's homepage, then select "lighting" to proceed.
Step 4: Make sure the light is powered on using your own switch.
Step 5: Observe how frequently the light blinks to identify the mode it is in. The Smart Life app supports two WiFi connections: EZ (Easy) Mode and Access Points (AP) Mode. In EZ Mode, the light blinks rapidly (about 0.5s per blink), while in AP Mode, the light blinks slowly (about 3s per blink).
Step 6: If the light is in AP Mode, you can change it to EZ Mode by repeatedly turning the switch on and off until the light enters rapid blinking status (about 0.5s per blink). Make sure to keep an interval of over 2 seconds between each turn-on and turn-off.
Step 7: Confirm that the light is in EZ Mode, then tap the "confirm" button in the app to proceed. If you need further assistance, you can tap "view help" for more details.
Step 8: Give a name to the light. It is recommended to choose a simple name for easier voice recognition with Alexa or Google Assistant. The name you give to the light will be used for voice control later.
Step 9: The named light will now be shown on the app's homepage. You can control the light by tapping the bulb icon to turn it on or off, change colors, adjust brightness, and more.
Note: If you want to control the light with Amazon Alexa, please refer to Part Three of the user guide. If you want to control the light with Google Assistant, please refer to Part Four.
