To install the PPE 338041000 Heavy Duty Front Differential Cover, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the engine is off and cool, and the vehicle is secure. Drain and recycle the oil, and remove the stock bolts and cover.

2. Thoroughly clean the mating surface of the differential housing.

3. Apply a continuous bead of silicone (RTV) on the flange surface and around the bolt holes. It is recommended to use GMS Silicone or equivalent RTV silicone.

4. Carefully align the PPE Front Diff Cover to the differential housing surface, making sure not to smear the silicone. Thread two screws to secure the cover in place, but only finger tight for now.

5. Install and tighten all screws in a crossing pattern. Torque them to 20-25 ft lbs.

6. Check and tighten the drain plug and NPT plugs snugly. Remove the Fill Plug and fill the differential with the manufacturer-recommended gear oil until it reaches the sight-level.

7. Replace and tighten the Fill Plug to 18-22 ft lbs. Check for any leaks.
