To install the GE current GEH6079 Evolve EPAM Outdoor Lighting Decorative Post Top, follow these steps:
1. Before you begin, make sure to read and understand the installation instructions provided in the manual.
2. Disconnect the power before starting the installation to avoid the risk of electric shock.
3. Ensure that the location where you plan to install the lighting fixture is suitable for outdoor use.
4. Wear safety glasses and gloves during the installation and servicing process to prevent any potential injuries.
5. Store the packaged units in a covered dry area and check for any damage. Do not impact or stack the units.
6. Mount the unit on a 3-inch diameter x 3-inch long tenon (76mm x 76mm).
7. Align the fixture so that the window faces North and tighten the three screws.
8. Loosen the xxxx and pull the latch to open the top of the fixture.
9. Take caution while handling the unit to prevent it from falling. Improper installation may cause the unit to fall.
10. Follow the applicable national and local electrical codes when wiring the fixture.
11. Connect the three power leads to the terminal block.
12. Insert and twist the PE (protective earth) connection.
13. Close and latch the top of the fixture and tighten the xxxx .
14. Attach the globe by first attaching the finial. Lower the globe into the ring.
15. If applicable, rotate the globe so that the "StreetSide" label is facing the street.
16. Evenly tighten each of the three globe screws to lightly contact the globe. Do not overtighten.
17. Take caution while installing the fixture as LED lights achieve full intensity immediately when powered. Do not view the LED light source when energized closer than 20 inches (0.5m).
18. If the globe is supplied with a finial, it must be installed to prevent water entry to the optical cavity.
19. For maintenance and cleaning, make sure the power is off before attempting any maintenance. Use mild soap/detergent and rinse with cool low-pressure water. Wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
