To install the SwitchBot W2500010 Smart Keypad, you have two methods: installing with screws or installing with adhesive tape. Here are the steps for each method:
Method 1: Install with Screws
1. Confirm the installation position by adding the Keypad on the SwitchBot app and checking if you can control the Lock via Keypad at the chosen position.
2. Use an electric drill with the appropriate drill bit size to drill holes at the marked positions on the wall.
3. Attach the mounting plate to the wall using screws, ensuring it is firmly attached.
4. Align the two metal round buttons at the back of the Keypad with the two round locating holes at the bottom of the mounting plate. Slide the Keypad downwards along the mounting plate until it cannot go any further. Press the Keypad from different angles to ensure stability.
Method 2: Install with Adhesive Tape
1. Confirm the installation position by adding the Keypad on the SwitchBot app and checking if you can control the Lock via Keypad at the chosen position.
2. Clean the installation surface and make sure it is smooth.
3. Attach adhesive tape to the back of the mounting plate and stick it to the wall at the marked position. Press the mounting plate against the wall for 2 minutes to ensure it is firm.
4. Align the two metal round buttons at the back of the Keypad with the two round locating holes at the bottom of the mounting plate. Slide the Keypad downwards along the mounting plate until it cannot go any further. Press the Keypad from different angles to ensure stability.
Please note that for outdoor usage, it is recommended to install with screws to prevent the Keypad from being moved without permission. Additionally, consult a professional if you are not experienced with drilling into a particular type of wall.
