To set up the ASUS DSL-AC55U BYO Modem Router, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the DSL port on the modem router to your phone line using the provided DSL cable.
2. Connect the WAN port on the modem router to your internet service provider's modem or network using an Ethernet cable.
3. Connect your computer or device to one of the LAN ports on the modem router using another Ethernet cable or connect wirelessly to the default Wi-Fi network (SSID) of the modem router.
4. Power on the modem router by connecting it to a power source using the provided power adapter.
5. Wait for the modem router to boot up and establish a connection with your internet service provider. This may take a few minutes.
6. Open a web browser on your connected device and enter the default IP address of the modem router (usually 192.168.1.1) into the address bar.
7. You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. Refer to the user guide or the label on the modem router for the default login credentials.
8. Once logged in, you will be guided through the setup wizard to configure your internet connection settings. Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the required information provided by your internet service provider.
9. After completing the setup wizard, you can customize the Wi-Fi settings, such as changing the network name (SSID) and password, in the router's administration interface.
10. Save the settings and restart the modem router for the changes to take effect.
