To assemble the PROSLAT 65002 12 Tote Storage Rack, follow these steps:
1. Separate all the parts into groups as shown in the manual and familiarize yourself with them. Read all the instructions before starting assembly.
2. Begin by assembling the front grid. Insert four horizontal crossbars (#1) through two center verticals (#2). When installing the second center vertical, stand the assembly with the horizontal crossbars placed on the floor and push down on the second center vertical to align the dimples.
3. Place one left front corner vertical (#4) and one right front corner vertical (#5) on a horizontal crossbar.
4. Next, assemble the rear grid. Place two center verticals (#2) on four horizontal crossbars (#1). Again, when installing the second center vertical, stand the assembly with the horizontal crossbars placed on the floor and push down on the second center vertical to align the dimples.
5. Place two left and right rear corner verticals (#3) on the horizontal crossbars.
6. Insert twelve horizontal slide rails (#8) into the rear grid. If necessary, tap the slide rails to ensure they are fully inserted.
7. Fasten all twelve horizontal slide rails (#8) in the rear grid using twelve #08 x ¾ in. fastening screws (#1). Note that the fasteners should be in the bottom hole only.
8. Join the front-to-rear grid by inserting the bottom slide rails (#8) into the front grid assembly and fastening them with #08 x ¾ in. fastening screws (#1). Again, the fasteners should be in the bottom hole only.
9. Insert and fasten the next three rows of slide rails to the front grid using #08 x ¾ in. fastening screws (#1). Once again, the fasteners should be in the bottom hole only.
10. Turn the unit upright and place it firmly against the wall where it is to be mounted.
11. Fasten all the verticals to the horizontals by screwing them together using #08 x ¾ in. fastening screws (#1). Make sure all joints are pressed firmly together and against the alignment dimples. Use one fastener per joint, each grid, front side only.
12. Move the unit away from the wall and insert four wall mount extension tubes (#7) in four locations. Fasten them with #08 x 1-½ in. extension tube fastening screws (#2). Again, use one fastener per joint, front side only.
13. Slide the wall mount flanges (#6) into the wall mount tubes (#7). Place the unit against the wall where it is to be mounted and mark the wall flange holes. Do not fasten at this time. Make sure the unit remains in position at all four flange locations while marking the holes.
14. Move the unit away from the wall and remove the wall flange from the tube. Mount the flange to the wall using twelve #10 x 1½ in. wall mount flange screws (#3) and plastic wall anchors (#4) if needed. If mounted into masonry or drywall, drill three ¼ in. holes to accept the plastic wall anchors.
15. Slide the unit back against the wall while inserting all four wall mount extension tubes (#7) into the wall mount flanges (#6) and fasten with four #08 x ¾ in. fastening screws (#1). Use a screwdriver and fasten one xxxx per flange.
16. The unit must be attached to the wall to prevent tipping over.
