To install the Rizoma DBL001 Dynamic Brake Light Sensor on your motorcycle, please follow the steps outlined in the user manual:
Step 1: Before starting the installation, ensure that you have all the necessary components included in the kit. It is important to note that the warranty will not apply if the tail light has not been correctly installed and connected to the electrical supply on your motorbike.
Step 2: Disconnect the battery before starting the installation to avoid damage to the electrical system of the bike. For the electrical connection of the tail light, it is recommended to use the Rizoma electric wiring. Arrange the wires to protect them from splash water and fasten them appropriately, such as with wire connectors.
Step 3: Reconnect the motorcycle battery and test the tail light.
Step 4: The DBL001 Dynamic Brake Light Sensor can be connected to the bike's rear light or to Rizoma's multi-functional indicators: FR115/FR125/FR155/FR165. The DBL001 is an accelerometer and does not require any connection to the brake hydraulic system.
Step 5: After installation, it is important to check that all related components of the motorcycle function properly, such as brakes, throttle, clutch, lights, and steering. It is recommended to repeat these checks periodically, especially after long trips or prolonged periods of not using the bike.
Step 6: To reset the DBL001, keep the button pressed and continue to hold the brake lever. The rear light will flash three times to indicate that the reset is correct. After the reset, the DBL001 will be settled in the factory setting.
Please note that this is a general overview of the installation process. For detailed instructions and specific information, please refer to the Rizoma DBL001 Dynamic Brake Light Sensor User Manual.
