To install the HOWARD MWP Medium Wall Pack, please follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power: Before starting the installation or servicing, make sure to disconnect the power to ensure safety.
2. Open the fixture: Remove the two screws located on the right side of the housing to open the fixture. Lift the lens door off the hinges and set it aside for later reinstallation.
3. Mounting: Drill or knock out the appropriate holes for mounting the fixture to the wall. Additionally, drill holes for securing the fixture to the junction box using the provided 3 ¼” or 4” junction box template. Apply silicon sealant to any holes to prevent water entry.
4. Secure the fixture: Secure the back of the fixture to the wall using two or more screws. Also, secure the fixture to the junction box with screws. Ground the fixture by connecting the green fixture ground wire to the junction box ground wire. Connect the white fixture wire to the white supply wire (neutral) and the black fixture wire to the black supply wire (line).
5. Reinstall the lens door: Replace the lens door back onto the hinges of the fixture. Connect the driver and LED assembly via the luminaire plug. Close the door and reinstall the two screws on the right side of the fixture.
6. Allow water to escape: Remove the plugs from the weep holes located on the bottom left and right side of the lens door to allow water to escape the fixture.
For additional safety, ensure that the fixture is wired in accordance with the National Electric Code and applicable local codes or ordinances. It is recommended to have the installation performed by a qualified electrician. Proper grounding is required for personal safety.
For wattage adjustable models, there is an adjustable output unit inside the fixture that can be used to adjust the wattage. Refer to the wattage adjusting instructions in the manual for more details.
For color-selectable models, there is a switch attached to the back of the LED assembly to change the color temperature (CCT) of the fixture. Refer to the CCT selecting instructions in the manual for more details.
