To install the Steinbach 049106 Solar Collector, follow these steps:
1. Remove the solar collector from the packaging.
2. Unscrew the covers from the inlet and outlet.
3. Put the O ring onto both connector pieces and attach them firmly to the inlet and outlet.
4. Close the water feed to the pool on the inlet nozzle.
5. Remove the pipe between the filter pump and inlet nozzle. Unscrew the connection directly at the inlet nozzle only.
6. Connect this pipe to the solar collector only and fasten it with a hose clip.
7. Attach the included hose with a diameter of 38 mm to the outlet side of the solar collector and the other end to your pool's inlet nozzle.
8. Turn the aluminum supporting poles to the vertical position and adjust the poles to the appropriate length. Hold the end of the aluminum pole and turn it clockwise to lock the aluminum pole.
9. Insert one split pin through each of the two holes in the feet.
10. Remove the protective covering on the upper side of the collector.
If you want to connect multiple collectors together to increase the heating power, you will need an additional swimming pool hose with a diameter of 38 mm. It is recommended to connect a maximum of 2 collectors, depending on the power of your filter unit. Using a bypass set (Item no. 060045) is also recommended for optimal control of heat output and water flow rate.
Please note that after the solar collector is assembled and the hoses are connected, you should open the water supply and ensure that water is flowing through the hose. Then turn on the filter system. Air bubbles may rise from the inlet nozzle in the pool as the air is expelled from the solar collector. If air bubbles continue for more than 2-3 minutes, check the tightness of the connections in your system.
