To connect the LANCOM GS-4530XP Unmanaged Access Switch to your PC or LAN switch, follow these steps:
1. Use Ethernet cables to connect the TP Ethernet interfaces 10M / 100M / 1G (interfaces 1 to 12) to your PC or LAN switch.
2. For higher speeds, use Ethernet cables compatible with at least CAT5e / S/FTP standard to connect the TP Ethernet interfaces 100M / 1G / 2.5G (interfaces 13 to 24) to your PC or LAN switch.
3. If you need to connect to superordinate core switches or content servers, insert suitable LANCOM SFP modules into the SFP+ interfaces 25 to 28. Make sure to choose cables compatible with the SFP modules and connect them according to the SFP modules mounting instructions.
4. For out-of-band management tasks or connection to a monitoring server, use an Ethernet cable to connect the OOB interface on the rear panel.
5. If you require higher speeds for uplink connections, plug suitable LANCOM QSFP+ modules into the QSFP+ interfaces 29 and 30. Again, select cables suitable for the QSFP+ modules and connect them as described in the SFP modules mounting instructions.
