To properly adjust and install the Stealth Products P72D633R3 Leg Harness, please follow the steps outlined in the owner's manual:
Step 1: With the user seated in the chair in correct posture, take the leg harness and locate the buckle at the end of the thigh pad. Place this buckle on top and outside of the user’s thigh just in front of the hip joint.
Step 2: Route the thigh pad across the thigh and around the leg until the tip of the pad just touches the seat. The pad should not extend under the leg. If it does, move the buckle towards the outside of the thigh until just the tip of the pad touches the seat. Gently lift the user’s leg and route the long end of the strap under the leg and over the edge of the seat cushion.
Step 3: Attach the straps to the cane or rail with the fasteners provided. Once the harness is attached to the chair, check that the D-Ring is not fully adjusted in either direction, and adjust the D-Clips until the harness is properly adjusted on the user’s leg.
Step 4: Repeat Steps 1-3 for the user’s other leg. When complete and fully adjusted for fit, have the user lean forward and side to side to check fit and ensure that there are no pressure points that may cause discomfort or injury. Demonstrate to the user how the D-Ring can be used to adjust the fit and how to buckle and unbuckle the harnesses.
